SUMMARY:Champions Pointe Club Championship
DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Champions Pointe Member Club Championship will take place on Saturday\, October 7th and Sunday\, October 8th. All members are invited to participate in the year’s premier event. The following is a brief description of the event. \n\nAll U S Open\, Wingfoot and Master members are eligible to participate.\nSaturday tee times will begin at 8am with Men’s Championship flight off first\, with the ladies’ flight last. The pairings on Saturday will be based upon the handicaps in each flight.\nSunday the ladies flight will go first at 8am and the Men’s Championship flight will go last. Pairings on Sunday will be dependent upon the first day’s standings.\nThe Flights specifics are as follows:\n\nMen’s Championship Flight – Lowest handicaps or requests to move up will determine Men’s Championship flight.\nMen’s Flight 1-? – The number of flights will be determined by the number of participants.\nMen’s Senior Flight – For men ages 60 through 69 years.\nLegend’s Flight – For men ages 70 years or older\nLadies combined Championship and Net Flight\n\n\nAll players must have a current verifiable handicap unless declaring for the Men’s Championship flight.\nAll ladies will compete in the championship flight and the net flight at the same time.\nDeadline for entry will be close of business on October 1st\, 2023.\nThe handicaps on October 2nd\, will determine the flights and seeding.\nOnce all men are seeded in appropriate flights all men’s competition will be scratch.\nThe rules for competition will comply with the USGA and Royal and Ancient rules and guidelines.\nAll flight pairings for Saturday will be out for publication Thursday\, October 6th.\nPlease sign up by calling the Champions Pointe Golf Shop or by emailing David L. Please provide the following information:\n\nAppropriate flight\nCurrent cell number and email address\nLocation where handicap can be verified and GHIN # if known\n\n\n\nThe Championship is being sponsored by Edward Jones Financial Advisors and their local representative Joel Nierman. Their sponsorship will assist in providing the Awards and the continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
